My first blog was on tumblr and like all the other blogs on that site, it was needlessly open and somewhat angsty, in retrospect, so I had to shut it down. Since then, I started other blogs there and here, and after a small while, I stopped writing.
The point is, I doubt anything will come out of this latest attempt. That said, there are few things different.
For starters, I jump fully into Markdown, which I found to be quite intuitive. This means that it will be much easier to post code and snippets on my blog without futzing with themes on wordpress.
Then there is the hosting provider. This is now fully housed on s3, which comports well with my very strong focus on AWS. Oh, did I mention that I am now fully certified in all five AWS certification (putting aside the speciality certs)?
Anyway, using pelican, I imported my old blog and then export it over to s3. And. . . that's it. Nothing very exciting, aside from having to convert my wordpress export to ascii as the UTF coding was borked, which meant that my old posts looks a bit gnarly.
At any event, as for the title, it will probably change. It is what Malcom Reynolds said here.
Still don't understand? Watch this series.
At this point, I should say something clever, but I can't come up with anything. Until next time. . .
